sometimes i wonder why i'm still spinning circles in the exact same spot
it's frustrating, humbling, and terrifying
but god reminded me that the circles are different and new each time
carrying me, if i let them, in wider arcs, closer to correctness
closer to the path he has
maybe less circular
more linear
my desire is great
my will is weak
and my god is bigger still than all of these

yes, the circles are different.
because even if the circles are in the exact same spot,
that spot isn't the exact same; everything around that forms that "spot" changes, and so the circles change as well.
Which makes me think of spirals.
Because circles that have a trajectory through changing settings/contexts suggest motion, possibly even linear motion.
Circles on a linear trajectory are spirals, which is the way that all energy moves (waves and pulses are different perspectives of looking at spirals), and isn't there something comforting about recognizing that your motion is in harmony with the motion of all energy/matter in the universe? That's a bigger thing that feels a lot like god to me. And "correctness."
