Remember how the leaves turn bright yellow and red?
The greens start to fade into brilliance.
And brilliance continues to fade to brown and grey and decay
Hm. Excitement too fades into dullness and death.
I’m always amazed at how quickly everything transpires.
Happy, brilliant, terrified, dead inside.
